After attempting to fish in our pond several times this summer and catching absolutely nothing, I was beginning to give up hope that there were actually fish in this pond. Of course, it was super hot and I also suspected that the fish were in the "deep" water by the damn. The previous owner and our neighbor both said they caught very big largemouths in this pond. I was grading work for school today and decided to take a break and just go throw a lure in the pond. Made about 20-30 casts and then had this guy hit it straight out in front of me. 2.44 pounds. Put up a nice fight.
Guess there are fish in here after all. Bet there are some monsters in this pond if no one has fished it in a while. Certainly no one fished it this year.
