Spent New Years Eve day clearing pine trees off the embankment going up to the garden field. In the corner of this field will be one of the two greenhouses, so the trees have to go in order for the greenhouse to work properly (sunlight=heat=plant growth). It really is amazing how much effort it takes to clear an area like this of trees. Pines grow quickly and closely. Throw in vines and blackberry brambles, and it was a fun day. Chainsaw blade sharpening becomes a repeated necessity, so thankfully I'm getting better at that every time I do it.
This was also an opportunity to upload a video via YouTube. It's certainly faster and easier than the way I was doing it. Quality is far better as well. I think will a little bit of time and research, I can get decent videos up fairly quickly. I believe YouTube even has a new app for editing videos, so I might experiment with that as well.
The day ended with a evening deer hunt with the boys. No luck hunting tonight, but we enjoyed a quiet time together in the woods.
