Woodstove

Fall came and so did the cool weather.  With just a large open fireplace, we were going through firewood at an alarming rate - and producing very little heat in the house.  Looking at wood stoves, and the one good stove I could find at a reasonable price was backordered for months.  So I continued to browse Craigslist.  Then this wood stove (no idea of brand) showed up.  The guy selling it was just up the street, and he took $250 for it.  Rounding up Devin Hartley, Ryan Flood, and Tim Ligowski (literally picked these guys up on the way to get it - incredibly grateful for their help and friendship), we went and STRAINED to move it into the house.  It was well worth it.  The heat hasn't run in the front part of the house since we put it in.  It's not the most efficient of stoves.  Still going through a lot of wood, but I'd rather do that than pay the electric company.  Upside is that it has a huge firebox.  Load it up at night, choke it down, and there will definitely be wood left in it in the morning.  Pretty amazing.  About the best $250 we've ever spent.
